Paul wrote Philippians from a prison cell — not a pulpit. He wasn't writing about becoming a champion. He was writing about contentment in chains, about finding a source of strength that external circumstances couldn't touch. The "all things" he's talking about includes being hungry, being overlooked, being falsely accused, and watching plans fall apart. Sound familiar?
Christ doesn't give us strength so we never feel weak. He gives us strength so that weakness doesn't have the final word. You don't have to manufacture confidence before your shift. You don't have to pretend the job isn't heavy. You just have to remember who is walking it with you.
This week's song is a reminder that even when you can't see the path forward — on the job, at home, in your spirit — God is still working. Let this one play on your drive in this week.
"Train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things." — 1 Timothy 4:7–8
